Deep Waters Pt.2

When we constantly worry about our circumstances or situations, sometimes, it is because these circumstances push us outside of our comfort zones and as a result, worrying becomes a way of finding solutions and answers to our problems so we can get back to our “comfort zones” or place of “safety”

The comfort zone, however, is almost always short-lived in my opinion. I mean it’s only a matter of time till life brings about circumstances that force you to grow and challenge you out of that safety zone.

Safety isn’t really in our comfort zone. Again, there is no safety in our comfort zone.

Our safety is in the hands of GOD.

Honestly, I believe the safest place we can find ourselves is in our constant trust and reliance on Christ.

By trusting that God’s love covers us and is our strength, we can find peace in every situation knowing that He is our strength and that His loving grace will provide all we need to get through deep waters.

When we are always in a rush to solve our problems to get back to that comfort zone, we miss an opportunity to grow by learning to lean on Christ.

We miss an opportunity to exert our trust muscles in God to see him do the impossible.

And here’s the thing: sometimes in order for GOD to do the impossible, we will have to stop rushing back to that comfort zone and instead step out in faith into deep waters knowing that just like Jesus held on to Peter while he was drowning, He will hold on to us.

So whatever situation you are facing that is outside your control, accept it as they are, don’t worry or force yourself to get back to your comfort zone, instead allow God to prune your heart with the situation.

Ask yourself the following

What is this situation teaching me?

Which areas of my life is God using this situation to help me grow?

What lessons can I take from this?

How can I trust God through this?

Spirit, lead me where my trust is without border, let me walk upon the water, wherever you will call me. Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander so that my faith would be made stronger in the presence of my saviour.
